A popular lounge in New York, embarked on an ambitious project to modernize its space, aiming for an atmosphere that mirrored the engaging experiences found in premier entertainment venues.
Eugene Griffith, the owner of VYBZ Astoria, aimed to create a vibrant and engaging lounge experience that mirrored the energy and sophistication of top-tier entertainment venues. While aspiring to this high standard, he was committed to preserving the lounge’s original interior charm, which boasts an elegant bar on the left, exclusive VIP seating to the right, and a distinguished elevated VIP section near the DJ booth.
3D Renderings
We crafted a proposal that resonated with the vision of VYBZ Lounge. Our conceptual renderings, derived from the 3D model, offered a glimpse into the future, showcasing a venue transformed by immersive LED lighting and digital artwork, all while preserving the lounge’s original allure. This meticulous approach ensured that every addition was thoughtfully considered, promising an enhancement that was both technically sound and aesthetically pleasing, elevating the VYBZ experience to new heights.
Behind the Scenes
Our journey with VYBZ Lounge in Astoria began with an appreciation of its existing ambiance. The venue boasted a sophisticated interior, elegantly arranged with a comfortable bar area to the left, exclusive VIP seating to the right, and an elevated VIP space near the DJ booth. This initial evaluation was critical, capturing the essence of VYBZ Lounge before embarking on our transformative project. Our goal was to amplify the existing design, infusing it with dynamic lighting and visual elements that would introduce a captivating Las Vegas-inspired experience without altering the core of its original design ethos.
3D PROCESS
We initiated the project with a detailed 3D scan of the venue. This technology allowed us to capture every inch of the space accurately, providing a solid foundation for our design work. The 3D model served as a crucial tool, enabling us to explore various design possibilities in a virtual environment. This process not only improved our understanding of the spatial dynamics but also allowed for precise planning of the LED installations and custom-designed screens that would blend effortlessly with the venue’s sophisticated layout.
LED Screen Integration
In the heart of VYBZ Astoria’s evolution, the integration of bespoke LED screens marked a pivotal enhancement, tailored to complement and enrich the lounge’s refined atmosphere. Our design strategy centered on customizing each screen with ornate gold frames, ensuring they merged seamlessly with the venue’s sophisticated interior. This meticulous approach allowed the screens to become part of the fabric of the space, offering a discreet yet powerful medium for ambient visuals and digital artwork, enhancing the overall guest experience without detracting from the existing decor.
These versatile screens serve as dynamic canvases, capable of displaying a range of content from subtle graphics to vibrant digital art, allowing the ambiance of VYBZ Astoria to adapt and transform in harmony with the mood of each event. Behind this visual elegance lies a robust technical infrastructure, designed for seamless operation and flexibility. Custom Visuals / Presentation
A standout feature of our collaboration with VYBZ Astoria was the creation of a bespoke opening night presentation, masterfully crafted by our partners at MYME Media. This immersive experience leveraged state-of-the-art graphics and thematic storytelling, captivating the audience with a narrative that was both engaging and visually spectacular. MYME Media’s expertise in advanced animation techniques introduced elements such as a digital avatar, which interacted with the crowd, setting the tone for a memorable night. Coupled with thematic visuals, including an underwater scene adorned with a neon-lit shark, the presentation was perfectly synchronized with the music, creating a cohesive and immersive experience. This innovative approach to visual entertainment, pioneered by MyME Media, has set VYBZ Astoria apart, establishing it as a destination renowned not just for its ambiance and service, but for its unique ability to transport guests through the art of visual storytelling.
Solutions
Innovative LED Screens: We installed large LED panels that are framed to resemble artwork. These screens provide dynamic and changeable visual displays, effectively replacing traditional static artwork.
Color Coordination: The frames of the LED screens were painted gold, harmonizing with the existing gold ceiling panels to ensure a unified and aesthetically pleasing look throughout the lounge.
Efficient Project Execution: A significant aspect of this project was our ability to carry out these upgrades without interrupting the lounge’s normal operations. We managed to complete the installation process while keeping VYBZ Astoria open for its regular clientele. This approach demonstrates our commitment to delivering sophisticated solutions with minimal disruption to the business.
The Outcome
The project was a resounding success, with Griffith praising the enhancement as a perfect blend of modern technology and the lounge’s original design. The opening night featured a captivating introductory show, with dynamic LED displays like realistic robot dancers and thematic underwater graphics, setting a new standard for lounge experiences.
